Brodsky SK2

Comments=I served on board from 1970 thru 1972. I remember a few names on the list of shipmates. Cutler and Gorto. I worked with SK1 Gorto from the time he came on board. A few memories that I have was how rough she rode. I remember towing the subtender Bushnell from Key West to Norfolk. I also remeber the fire we had aboard ship and called for assistance thinking we may have to abandon the ship but we were able to control the fire. I also remember the trips to cuba and the liberty in Jamaica. After leaving the Shakori I remained in the Naval reserve for another 17 years in a reserve destroyer squardron. I also went on to college and in 1978 went to work for the U.S. Government. I am now a Chief in the Department of Justice in Washington DC. If anyone remembers I was from NYC. I ope to hear from some one who served with me during my time on the Shakori.
