I'll always try to identify this Red Deer Stag for what it is when you ask. I have know way of knowing how seasoned this Red Deer Stag is so be sure to dry it before using.. This material varies and it is impossible to control both texture and color. Keep in mind Mother Nature controls how the horn is shaped, and textured. Therefore, Not all stag horn comes with heavy texture. There are also heavy texture and slight texture. color is normaly white what you see on the page is colored my us or if not it will be white or of white.
There are no rejects or second class horn as it is all produced by Mother nature. I have no control over this in any way shape or form. As the Red deer stag slabs dry warping can take place if this has happened these can be straightened out by clamping them to a piece of steel and heating them in an oven at about 150 degrees. then let cool while clamped to the steel, it can also be milled or sanded straight again.
